The death occurred at her home in Shag Harbour on Wednesday evening, Sept. 6th. She was the wife of Captain S.W. Kendrick. The immediate cause of death was apoplexy but Mrs. Kendrick had been in failing health for some months and her death was not unexpected. She was 66 years of age and a daughter of the late Rev. Albert Swim. Early in life she professed religion, was baptized by her father and united with the church at Bear Point, of which she was a consistent member all through life. A good mother and wife, a kind friend and neighbour, one who had the welfare of the church and community at heart, she will be greatly missed in these circles. It may well be said of her that she “being dead yet speaketh”.
